Recent advocacy efforts on legislative issues such as school safety, student privacy, curriculum standards, admissions policies, and private school rights have protected the state’s private schools from onerous regulations.

As part of the America 250 celebration, the U.S. Department of Education has announced the Presidential 1776 Award competition to enhance students understanding of civics and knowledge of Americas founding.
