We Are The Voice of Texas Private Schools

The Texas Private Schools Association supports and advocates for Texas private schools so they can serve the needs of Texas students.

WORKING FOR TEXAS PRIVATE SCHOOLS

We Support Educational Excellence

With over 900 accredited private schools serving 290,000 students in every corner of the state, TPSA provides resources, advocacy, and representation to help schools pursue academic excellence, to assist them in growing to meet Texas’ needs, and to protect them from excessive regulation.

We Advocate for Independence

TPSA plays a critical role in the Texas educational landscape by representing private schools in both Austin and Washington, D.C., ensuring they remain independent. Recent advocacy efforts on legislative issues such as school safety, student privacy, curriculum standards, admissions policies, and private school rights have protected the state’s private schools from onerous regulations.

Now that the dust has settled, here’s a report on how many bills were filed and passed during the legislative session. The governor has until June 22 to sign or veto recently passed bills, so we won’t know until then how many of the bills passed become law.
