TPSA plays a critical role in the Texas educational landscape by representing private schools in both Austin and Washington, D.C., ensuring they remain independent. Recent advocacy efforts on legislative issues such as school safety, student privacy, curriculum standards, admissions policies, and private school rights have protected the state’s private schools from onerous regulations.

Governor Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 2 (SB 2), passed by the 89th Texas Legislature into law on May 3, 2025, to establish an education savings account program in Texas.The Texas Comptroller today released initial draft rules for the state’s new ESA program.
